Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This page explains, in plain language, the little that is processed automatically just by your browser talking to our servers, who else touches that data, and what we commit to never doing with it.
What we collect directly from you
Nothing. Tretayuga has no login, no signup, no user accounts, and no forms that ask for personal details. The newsletter field in the footer is disabled — it does not submit anywhere. You can read every verse and play every recording without giving us any information about yourself.
What is processed automatically
Visiting any page still involves some automatic, behind-the-scenes processing — this is true of essentially every website. Here is exactly what that is for Tretayuga:
- Web Analytics — page views, referrer, browser and operating system, and country-level location. It sets no cookies. Visitors are identified by a server-side hash of IP address and browser user agent that resets every 24 hours, so nobody can be tracked across days or across other websites. Used only to produce aggregated statistics — how many people visited, which pages, roughly from where.
- Server logs — both our hosting provider and our backend server automatically record IP addresses and request details, for security and reliability. These logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
Third parties and where data sits
- Verse audio is served from AWS, so that content is served from within India.
- Hosting and analytics are provided by Vercel Inc., a United States company, so IP addresses are processed outside India as part of normal web hosting.
- AI services (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Sarvam AI) are used only offline, by us, to prepare the Sanskrit, Hindi, and English content and audio you read and hear on this site. No visitor data is ever sent to them — “AI-powered” often makes people assume their own data is feeding an AI system somewhere, and here that is simply not the case.
What we never do
We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use it for advertising or profiling. There is no advertising on Tretayuga at all.
No cookie banner
You will not see a cookie consent banner on this site. That is not an oversight — Tretayuga does not set cookies, so there is nothing to ask your consent for.
Grievance officer
For any questions or concerns about this policy or your data, you can contact our grievance officer:
- Name: Anuj Dubey
- Email: tretayuga@zohomail.in
We aim to respond to any query within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If we ever introduce a feature that collects personal data — for example, personalised verse recommendations, notifications, or user accounts, all of which are currently only planned and not available — this policy will be updated to reflect that before the feature launches, not after.
